The troops missed a lot of things but the Hollywood studios distributed their movies to all branches of the service and they were able to watch Ginger Rogers, Fred Astaire and all the other stars in action.

Short Biography: Ginger Rogers (July 16, 1911 – April 25, 1995) is a legendary Academy Award-winning American film and stage actress, dancer, singer, artist, WWII pinup model and dairy farmer. In a successful film career spanning fifty years she made a total of 73 films, and is now principally celebrated for her movie role as Fred Astaire's romantic interest and dancing partner in a series of Hollywood great musical dance romance movies including Top Hat, Follow the Fleet and Swing Time.
