In 1940 Gene Tierney starred as Patricia Stanley in Broadway Play The Male Animal for a critical and commercial success so great that she was the toast of Broadway before her 20th birthday; and Tierney was featured in LIFE magazine and also photographed by Harper's Bazaar, Vogue and Collier's Weekly. This provided a lot of pin up material for the G.I. fighting the war around the globe; later she would be a featured pin up in YANK the U.S. Army magazine and Brief the U.S. Army Air Force magazine too. To say Gene Tierney was a popular 1940s WWII would be a drastic understatement, this was one HOT HOT HOT G.I. vintage pinup girl!

She had two daughters from her marriage to Oleg Cassini the first child was disabled, born deaf, blind and had the permanent mentality of an infant and was eventually institutionalized; the second daughter born later was named Tina. Gene Tierney a second marriage to W. Howard Lee a Texas oil baron (1960–1981)
