Short Biography: Betty Hutton was a great American stage, film, and television actress and singer. Betty Hutton started at 3 years old singing at the family’s speakeasy and 1939 she entered film making; Hutton made 19 successful films from 1942 to 1952 which appear as the best years of her life at least the most successful. Her career had its ups and downs and she worked stage, records, radio, film and TV but nothing ever reached the pinnacle of those 10 movie making years and luckily for us she was captured on film because in my opinion as an entertainer she will never equaled. Betty Hutton was hot, funny, vibrant, endearing and one of my favorite vintage pinup beauty. She turned her unhappy personal life around in the 1970s, with the help of a Catholic Priest and eared a college degree from Salve Regina, a Catholic college for women in Newport, Rhode Island; in the late 1980s she was teaching acting to students at Boston's Emerson College. I hope she rests peacefully.
