Notable Works: This beautiful and gifted granddaughter of renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright took up acting at the age of 11 with famed acting teacher Maria Ouspenskaya and began her professional career on Broadway in the stage play Seen but Not Heard at age 13 and gave almost 5 decades of memorable stage, movie, and television acting performances. She received an Oscar and Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her performance in the 1946 movie The Razors Edge, but is probably best remembered by most for the 1951 movie made with Bette Davis All About Eve for which she and Davis were both nominated but failed to get the Oscar for Best Actress in a Leading Role. She raised three good daughters in addition to her successful entertainment career.

Date/Death/Cause: On December 4, 1985, Anne Baxter collapsed from a brain aneurysm while walking towards her hairdressers on Madison Avenue New York City, New York, she never gained consciousness and had her three daughters--Katrina, Melissa and Maginel-- with her after being admitted to Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan; she died December 12, 1985, eight days after suffering the stroke and collapsing, she was only 62 years of age. She is interned at Lloyd Jones Cemetery in Spring Green, Wisconsin on the estate of her grandfather famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright.
