She received a Tony Award for her performance in the stage play Wonderful Town in 1953. In 1976 she was given the Screen Actors Guild Award for Lifetime Achievement. Date/Place Birth: June 4, 1907 (1907-06-04); Waterbury, Connecticut, U.S.A. Date/Death/Cause: Rosalind Russell died after a long battle with breast cancer in 1976 at the age of 69, although initially her age was misreported because she had shaved a few years off her true age. Her husband, son, and her son's wife actress Patricia Morrow, and a priest were at her bedside when she died. She is buried in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Culver City, California, in the center of section M at the statue and cross. Spouse(s) & Children: Frederick Brisson, Danish-American producer (m. 1941–1976 her death) one son Lance Brisson, born May 7, 1943. Short Biography: Rosalind Russell was born in Connecticut on June 4, 1907 and attended the American Academy of Dramatic Art in New York City and became a great award winning American actress known for her grand performances both on the stage and screen. She married 1941 and remained married to the same person till her death in 1976 (quite an accomplishment for a successful Hollywood Actress) and had a son with Frederick Brisson, a movie and play producer. She lived a full life including philanthropically related endeavors.
