Short Biography: With her mother’s encouragement this little 1923 Texas born lady began fashion modeling at age 11 and looking older than her age she was appearing with local theater companies at 13 and at 16 she became the movie industries youngest leading lady in Hollywood history. In her third film she played a young rising movie star in the movie Star Dust (1940) and was an immediate success. Many other excellent roles in high quality films with Hollywood’s best quickly followed. Shockingly at only 41 in 1965, Linda’s career was cut short when she died of burns she suffered in an accidental house fire; this remarkable beauty left us a legacy of 46 good movies.
