This flash Galaxian game closely resembles and plays like the original coin operated video Galaxian games in bars video game arcades in the late 1970's and early 1980's. In this flash version of the video game, the player controls the motions of a rocket ship that moves back and forth across the bottom of the video screen with the arrow keys shooting the waves of aliens with rockets by using the space bar. Wave after wave of rows aliens march back and forth across the screen slowly advancing down from the top to the bottom; if any of the aliens successfully land on the bottom of the screen the rocket will be destroyed and the game will restart at the last round. The player has three lives or spaceships; when the aliens have destroyed all the spaceships this classic arcade game is over.

Galaxian was first released as a video arcade game in 1979 and was quite popular during the golden age of the coin operated video machine (1980s) and is important in the history of video gaming. This was the first video game released with 100 percent of its graphics displayed in true R.G.B. color; other prior coin operated video machines used color overlays or other little tricks to introduce color to the games.
