The sculptured chocolate Easter bunny made by artist Harry Johnson, 51, a replica of the well-known and loved Duracell® Bunny officially came in at 3.82 meters tall (12 feet, 5 inches) and weighed more than 3 tons (2721 kilos) - setting the new world record for the largest ever chocolate bunny in the world.

The monster candy rabbit is almost done in this photo image. The Duracell world's biggest chocolate bunny took over one month of planning to create, and was sculptured out of chocolate blocks in a matter of three days by the noted fast artist/sculptor from South Africa, Harry Johnson.

After the world's Largest chocolate bunny was sculptured it needed to be stored within a Perspex ‘housing’ structure which had a cooling system to keep the temperature of the bunny at 18°Celcius.

This is the impressive giant 12 feet, 5 inches tall 3 ton world’s largest chocolate Easter Bunny. According to the Guinness Book of World Records this is World’s largest chocolate bunny has been crafted in South Africa sponsored by Duracell Batteries sculpted in three days by noted artist, Harry Johnson. This chocolate bunny is a literal replica of the iconic Duracell Bunny out of solid milk-chocolate.
The chocolate bunny is 3.82 m tall (12ft 5in) and weighs a monstrous 3 tons (2,721Kg) setting the new Guinness world record for the largest chocolate bunny March 20, 2010. The previous record largest chocolate Easter Bunny was by Brazil with the chocolate bunny weighing in at 2.8 tons.
To prevent the chocolate from softening in the South African heat the bunny is stored in a special Perspex plastic housing with a cooling system. After a week, the chocolate bunny was broken down and distributed to underprivileged children to enjoy for an Easter Present from Duracell Batteries.
